Money Back Policy
Last Revised: April 11, 2025
What is the Refund Policy?
We offer refunds within 48 hours of purchase, provided the product is still in possession of our delivery carrier and has not been delivered or opened. After this window, only exchanges may be granted.
Products sold directly by PockettPinch or by vendors on our marketplace are subject to this policy. We aim to ensure every transaction is smooth and transparent for all parties.
Some items are non-refundable, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act of Jamaica and platform guidelines.
Reasons for Returned Items
Returns may be accepted if:
- The item is defective or damaged on arrival
- The item is not as described or significantly different from its listing
- You received the wrong product
- You cancel within 48 hours and the package hasn’t been delivered
Return requests outside of the stated timeframe may not be accepted. Please include original packaging, proof of purchase, and maintain the item in its unused condition.
How Long Does It Take for a Refund?
Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 7 business days after we confirm eligibility. Processing times may vary based on your payment method or financial institution.
Please note: Refunds can only be processed after the item is verified as eligible and received (where applicable).
How Will You Get Your Money Back?
Once approved, your refund will be issued via the original payment method used at checkout. This includes:
- Credit/debit card reversal
- Digital wallet refund
- Bank deposit (if applicable)
For orders involving third-party sellers, refunds may be issued by the vendor, with oversight and support from PockettPinch.
Non-Returnable or Non-Refundable Items
For hygiene, safety, and digital compliance reasons, the following cannot be returned or refunded:
- Perishable goods (e.g. food, flowers)
- Personal and intimate items (e.g. underwear, skincare opened)
- Digital downloads or services once delivered
- Customized, personalized, or made-to-order products
This aligns with Section 30 of the Jamaican Consumer Protection Act regarding exceptions for certain goods and services.
